Usually noticed from the age of 40 onwards, presbyopia refers to the difficulty in changing the shape of the lens within our eye that normally allows us to adjust our focus from far to near.
Unfortunately this happens to all of us eventually, and there are no proven methods of prevention for this condition.
So what options are available to allow us to read again?
Spectacle Glasses
It may seem like it is stating the obvious that glasses will help, but there's more nuance to it than that. There are a variety of lens types which all work slightly differently to each other. How do you know which one is best for you? The best way would be to speak to someone that has experience fitting each of the different options for different circumstances, and will take your specific vision needs into account.
For example, a progressive lens is an excellent option for someone who needs a general pair of glasses
